Bandleader Andy Brown has been one of the busiest guitarists in Chicago over the last two decades, leading his own bands and backing visiting jazz stars all over the city, as well traveling nationally and internationally with a variety of groups. He specializes in what he calls 'old-school jazz guitar.' The Andy Brown Quartet brings together four of the finest jazz musicians on the Chicago scene. Featuring Andy on guitar, Jeremy Kahn on piano, Joe Policastro on bass and Phil Gratteau on drums, this quartet combines the member’s shared musical inspirations and presents a lyrical and hard-swinging working band that has delighted audiences and critics alike.
