4D Girlz is experimental, left-of center pop from the 4th dimension about love, queer friendship, and alternate realities. Their performances are multimedia utopias often bridging pop performance with performance art. 4D Girlz is Paige Alice Naylor and Corey Smith. Bonfire Madigan’s trailblazing music is “built on the soul of the blues, the riot of punk, the playfulness of burlesque, and the sophistication of the orchestra pit.” She has been called the “bastard child of Bjork and Tom Waits,” the “Bruce Springsteen of chamber punk,” and has collaborated with numerous influential musicians such as Cat Power, Elliott Smith, and Jolie Holland. A veteran of the Fireside Bowl and Double Door, this will be their first Chicago performance in over a decade.
