About this Event
Cuba Libre Project is a powerful ensemble that brings the golden era of Son Cubano to life with authenticity, elegance, and vibrant energy. Rooted in the traditions of Cuba and inspired by the island's spirit of resilience and liberation, the group blends rich vocal harmonies, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and masterful instrumentation to deliver performances that are both timeless and deeply moving. From the streets of Santiago to the dance halls of Havana, Cuba Libre Project celebrates the soul of Cuba through genres like son, bolero, danzón, and guaracha, honoring its cultural legacy while connecting with new generations. The group is led by Norberto Guerra, a celebrated guitarist, arranger, and musical director born and raised in Cuba. With over two decades of experience performing with some of the island's most iconic ensembles, Guerra brings a profound understanding of Cuban musical traditions and a visionary approach to his craft. His leadership infuses Cuba Libre Project with precision, passion, and cultural depth - making each performance not only a musical experience but a tribute to Cuba's enduring spirit and rich artistic heritage.
