Hawthorne, California-based singer, songwriter, and producer Cuco has been challenging musical conventions since his emergence. From the lo-fi bedroom pop of his 2016 debut mixtape 'Wannabewithu' to his dreamy first full album, 2019's 'Para Mi,' Cuco has methodically crafted a distinctive Mexican-American musical identity characterized by bilingual vocals, romantic themes, and psychedelic undertones. With 'Ridin'' – released May 9th – Cuco presents an evolution toward a more intimate sound that balances soulful authenticity with organic instrumentation, featuring lyrics that explore heartbreak, joy, and cultural heritage. The 'old school, romantic' aesthetic of 'Ridin'' represents a continuation of elements present since his 2017 single 'Lo Que Siento.'
