Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dazegxd is a 22 year old producer & DJ currently spearheading the DIY dance movement of NYC. While closely associated with the jungle revival of the 2020s, Dazegxd is a ‘genre-agnostic’ act, capable of molding a wild blend of influences into a captivating and unique live experience. They’ve played across the US & internationally, performing alongside acts such as Nia Archives, TisaKorean, Gum.mp3, Brodinski, Quadeca & more. They’ve also done guest DJ mixes from The Lot Radio to Rinse FM & they currently hold a monthly residency on NTS Radio entitled, “The Exhibition Hour.” “Dazegxd’s discography has been shaped by the rave music of the early 00s and video games as well as his Jamaican and Ghanaian heritage, and neighborhood of Canarsie, Brooklyn. He intertwines different elements of hardcore, acid, jungle, trap, rap, house, techno + more to create illimitable sounds. Beginning in 2014 with Them Flavors, he quickly became a resident DJ and promoter, organizing 130+ events. In 2020, he transitioned to producing original music, releasing singles and shortly after, his debut LP. His music spans various sub-genres, mirroring his eclectic DJ sets. Beyond music, he has also recently ventured into visual arts, often combining the entirety of his skillset by teasing original music with accompanying visuals on social media. Notable achievements include throwing a sold-out Boiler Room event in 2022 with a focus on overlooked talent. His success led to another Boiler Room performance in 2023. With each accomplishment, his ambition as a visual artist, DJ, producer, and promoter continues to grow, solidifying his role as a curator in music. – Chuck Trash
