About this Event

Do the Needful are a Chicago ensemble – Hindi vocalists, Indian flute, guitar/fuzz organ, bass, drums – that takes Indian pop music from the 60s and 70s and filters it through garage pop, surf, rockabilly, ghostly jazz, and raw blues. The bands lean into retro-psychedelia hard while creating a powerful mix that is forward-thinking, unique AND a distinct product of Chicago’s musical melting pot.
