About this Event

George Grunditz is a saxophonist and composer based in Chicago. He studied jazz at UIC under the tutelage of Chris Madsen and Jon Irabagon, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at VanderCook College of Music while remaining active in the Chicago jazz scene. George's compositions are inspired by the experience of navigating life's adventures — the highs, the lows, and everything in between. As a player, he’s known for his dark tone and melodic, laid-back approach to improvisation.
